The Dead Man's Skull: Lelos and Long John

The night spread throughout Port Royal. The tavern was full of scumbags, thieves, murderers and pirates. They were all singing loudly:


“15 men on a dead man’s chest! Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum! Drink and the devil had done for the rest! Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum!”


Amongst them were some of the most famous buccaneers of the seven seas: Anne Bonney, John Rackham, Black Sam Bellamy and others. But the most notorious of them all was John Silver, better known as “Long” John Silver.


A few months ago, he had just escaped from the hands of the Royal Navy and Captain Smollett, along with his female parrot “Captain Flint.”


Silver stepped up, walking with his crutch towards one of the other pirates. He said hi, then punched him.


-”What the hell, Silver!”


-”I know you know where my wife is, and i am going to torture you until you tell me!”


-”I don’t know Long John, I promise!”


-”Yeah right… Jack, Pepe, pick him up and tie him to that bed upstairs!”


After they had obeyed his command and done that, Silver went upstairs to the room where they had tied him and he pulled out his sword.


He slowly brought the sword closer and closer to his neck.


-”Tell me who kidnapped my wife, NOW!”


-”I don’t know man!”


-”Tell me, or I’ll slice your neck so slowly, you will suffer before you die…”


-”Ok ok! Blackbeard has your wife…”


A look of shock appeared on Silver’s face.


-”Blackbeard?! But… he’s been dead for so many years!”


-”Dead? Aye… he’s dead, but not quite dead. And he leads a crew of those who are not quite dead!”


-”And where is Blackbeard?”


-”He was last spotted in the Dead Man’s Port.”


Silver then untied him and left with his crew. They sat on the rowboats and travelled to Silver’s new ship, the Crusader.


After months of sailing, they finally found the Dead Man’s Port, which was located close to Russia.


After docking and leaving the ship, they started walking towards the forest.


While there, Silver spotted someone lurking around the forest. He got scared, so he pulled out his sword and ordered his crew to load the flintlocks and prepare for battle. But when the mysterious figure revealed himself, it was an anthropomorphic domestic canary. It looked ridiculous to them, and they started laughing.


But then the mysterious canary spoke, showing itself to be intelligent. It was then that they freaked out and they pointed their weapons at him.


-”Do not be afraid!” said the canary.


-”Who… are you…?”


-”My name is Lelos, and I know what you seek. You seek blackbeard. I seek the same thing. Once he discovered the Dead Man’s Chest, his mind was possessed by evil, and he turned on me.”


-”Why?”


-”I was always more pacifist than the others, and this always pissed him off. When he was possessed, he got angry and marooned me here with one pistol and with one shot. I’ve been saving it for him… He can’t be far. Quickly, on the ship!”


So they went on the ship and left the island to go after Blackbeard.


Eventually they spotted Blackbeard's ship. Blackbeard’s ship, a galleon, was slower, so they easily caught up to him.


A battle ensued, with the Crusader being faster due to it being a sloop.


Silver boarded the ship. He found his wife in a cell. He freed her and they went back to the Crusader. Lelos also boarded the ship. He went to the Captain’s cabin and found Blackbeard.

-”This is your end, Edward Teach.”


Blackbeard turned around, revealing a terrifying living skeleton. He picked up his sword and was about to attack him but was shot by Lelos in the face before he could do that. Lelos then saw a weird magical skull on the table, but was called by Silver back to the ship before he could pick it up.


Eventually, the two ships were getting closer and closer to a Russian island. Blackbeard’s galleon crashed into the island, eventually sinking. Silver’s ship avoided this.


They returned to Port Royal. Silver and Lelos the canary remained friends, and Lelos joined Silver’s crew.


They thought it was over, but little did they know, about 200+ years later, the shipwreck of Blackbeard’s galleon was discovered close to Russia, by Soviet Agent Comrade Monke…
